About this collection
What to know before you choose
Whether a plant does well in a bedroom comes down mostly to light. A bedroom with a bright window suits most of the plants here; a dim room that only gets indirect light suits the lower-light picks, such as snake plant, ZZ plant and peace lily.
Plants are sometimes sold as sleep aids or night-time oxygen boosters. Snake plant does take in carbon dioxide at night, but the effect of a few plants on a room's air is negligible, so choose them for how they look and how easy they are to keep. Many plants here are toxic to pets: if a cat or dog shares the room, check each plant's pet status first, or start from the pet-friendly collection.
How we picked
Mainly plants from the air-purifying collection and plants whose care profiles suggest a bedroom spot.
