Fix kit

Low light & leggy growth

Long, thin stems with big gaps between leaves, small or pale new leaves and a plant leaning hard toward the window are signs it wants more light.

What to do

  1. 1 Move the plant closer to a window if you can; light drops off quickly a few feet into a room.
  2. 2 Turn the pot every week or two so all sides get light.
  3. 3 Add a full-spectrum grow light for dark rooms and winter, and follow the maker's guidance on distance and hours. Plants still need a dark period at night.
  4. 4 Pinch or trim leggy stems back once the light is better, so the plant grows bushier.
